RICHARD BIRRELL, C.I.C. , was born and raised in Twin Falls . He graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1967 and attended the College of Southern Idaho . He was then in the National Guard and, after basic training, attended Boise State University . He then joined his father in the family owned business ; Seven Up Bottling Company of Twin Falls . He worked in the family business becoming part owner until 1987 when he became full owner. Rich served as President of the Utah , Idaho , Montana Soft Drink Association and served on many legislative and national committees while in the soft drink business. He joined OBENCHAIN INSURANCE in 1995 as an account executive. In 1999 he received the designation of Certified Insurance Counselor.
